Consultation and Supervision

Consultation and supervision are critical elements of quality service delivery.  They can provide clinical direction as well as opportunities for feedback, problem-solving, and support.  Consultation and supervision are intended for professionals and paraprofessionals in the mental health and social service fields.  Consultation/supervision can be provided in the areas of clinical mental health,  behavior management, case management, crisis intervention, and mental health administration.  Consultation/supervision can occur in my office, yours, or when appropriate, by phone.  Consultation/supervision hours may count toward licensing.

Consultation:  Consultation can be provided on a regular, periodic, or emergency basis in person, or when appropriate, by phone.  Administration of short-term focus groups or agency needs assessments may also be possible under this service. The cost for this service is $100-120/hour.

Group Supervision:  Group supervision can be provided weekly, biweekly, or monthly to groups as large as 10.  This supervision usually takes 1 ½ to 2 hours and can be done in a lecture, case presentation, open discussion, or topic-specific format.  Cost for this service depends on the number of participants and focus of supervision.  Generally, the charge for group supervision is $200 for 1 1/2 hours.

Individual Supervision:  Individual supervision is available on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, as needed or on-call basis.
This supervision is best done in person, but can be conducted over the phone as well, when necessary.  Individual supervision usually takes 1 hour. The charge for this service is $125/hour.

                                                                   Training

Training is an essential part of quality behavioral health delivery.  Training re-energizes staff and allows them to learn new, evidence-based skills.  When done on-site or close to home, agencies and schools have a cost-efficient way to offer training specific to the needs of their staff.  Sponsored training which is open to the public is also a great way to generate income for an agency and build relationships and expertise in the local community.

Training Coordination:
I am available to develop full-year training calendars or individual trainings to meet specific needs.  Training coordination can include all or some of the following services: identification of trainers and space, creation of promotional materials, on-site training facilitation, and CEU application.   This service is designed for an agency, school, or other organization which has a group ready to be trained or which would like to offer training to a larger audience as a community service or fundraiser.   Development of on-site graduate intern programs is also possible.

Training Provision:  I am available to provide 1-hour to full-day trainings for professionals or paraprofessionals on a number of  behavioral health topics.  I am able to design trainings that can meet the specific needs of your audience.  Possible topics include:
